15 Oceanic Beauties vies for Miss Scuba Philippines 2017

TAMPA, Florida – Following the legacy of the very first Filipina Miss Scuba International titleholder, Cindy Pacia Madumma, in upholding the the global advocacy “Saving Oceans Through Beauty“, fifteen “ocean ambassadors” were officially presented to the Philippine media as they vie for the Miss Scuba Philippines 2017 crown and become the rightful representative of the Philippines to the Miss Scuba International 2017 pageant later this year.

The press presentation was held at Belmont Hotel in Pasay City, Philippines which is one of the official presenters of the pageant. Quality over quantity is the aim of the organizers in staging the national search and true enough, they were able to achieve what they were desiring to.

Madumma, being the pageant’s national director and franchise-holder, led the fifteen equally gorgeous ladies in embracing the importance of having the passion for the preservation and protection of Marine Diversity and Resources, and empowered them to take a stand on Ocean Justice, and they were as follows:

1-Karren Arias of Northern Leyte; 2-Kristine Eiriel Nolasco of City of Manila; 3-Nicole Aguilar of Mariveles, Bataans; 4-Florinda Talosig of Sto, Tomas, Isabela; Helga 5-Cerbo ofPuerto Galera, Mindoro; 6-Aliyana Ibnohajil of Alaminos, Laguna; 7-Angela Gene Valdes of Legazpi City; 8-Jolina Anne Roque of Olongapo City; 9-Elle Hollman of Mariveles, Bataan; 10-Mirtle Kith Jimenez of Quezon City; 11-Danica Joy Acuna of Romblon; 12-Aivan Elma of Paranaque City; 13-Mary Maureen Quiambao of Taguig City; 14-Sherly Legaspi Doloriel of Misamis Oriental.


Voted as Darling of the Press was Sherlyn Doloriel of Misamis Oriental who can be remembered as Best in Swimsuit of the recent Miss Philippines Earth 2017, followed by runners-up Angela Gene Valdez (alumna of Bb. Pilipinas 2016) of Legazpi, Albay and Fel Banaybanay of Sogod, Southern Leyte.

The candidates also went through series of pre-pageant activities and one of the most important aspects are for them to be exposed underwater clean-up drive and to experience scuba diving lessons at Bauan Divers Sanctuary and under the tutelage of renowned dive master, Atty. Benjamin Delos Santos, and be certified in the Open Water Diving course. Moreover, the girls competed in a special Talent and Cultural Costume competition held at Ayala Fairview Terraces. They also did some school tours to promote the advocacy of the organization.







The Miss Scuba Philippines Organization is composed by hardworking modern Filipinas who exemplifies real beauty and intelligence, and are passionate to uphold and promote women empowerment, headed by Miss Scuba International 2015 Cindy Madumma, alongside Miss Summer International 2015 Athena Catriz, Miss Tourism Philippines 2016 Kristine Tablazon, Ricci Jereza, Margo Jereza, and Andrea Delgado.



Miss Scuba Philippines is a pageant, which has a deep-rooted advocacy that is devoted to protect, preserve and help save our oceans and its biodiversity. It is distinctive from other beauty pageants because it focuses on the importance of the preservation and protection of the Philippine Marine resources.

The coronation night of Miss Scuba Philippines 2017 is on October 10 at the Atrium of Resort World Manila in Pasay City, Philippines, and to be directed by renowned pageant director and beauty queen maker, Mr. Rdogil Flores.
