She never expected that she’ll be able to win a crown in a beauty pageant a few years after she tied the knot and became a mom. It wasn’t only a childhood dream for her to become a beauty queen but it remained to be her heart’s desire even until she reached her full bloom. Indeed, God had a different plans for her as the fulfillment of her dream turned into a reality when SHERRY LOU VALLINAS VILLASENOR was crowned as MRS. PHILIPPINES GLOBE 2015 last May 31, 2015 at Moonbay Beach Resort in Subic Bay.

I never expected that I will win the title and the crown of Mrs. Philippines Globe for this year. I remember when I entered the pageant, my initial motives was to gain and enjoy the experience as this is my first national pageant involvement. The opportunity that was given to me gave me an avenue to showcase what I have and give the best that I can give“, shares Sherry Lou. “My victory motivates me to push more as this is just the beginning of a greater tasks and that is to represent our country internationally”, she adds.

Same as last year, this year’s batch of candidates was a very competitive batch and we were very happy with the outcome of the results, with Sherry Lou who emerged as the top winner“, shares Ms. Morena Carla Cabrera-Quimpo, National Director and Chairman of Mrs. Philippines Globe Organization. “A very intense training and preparation awaits Sherry Lou as she vies for the Mrs. Globe crown. The Philippines has never won this crown that’s why we’re so elated and positive that Sherry Lou can possibly surprise us come November month for the Mrs. Globe 2015 Coronation Finals which will be held in Shenzhen, China”, Ms. Morena Carla adds.

Sherry Lou has been married to her husband, Bertrand for 6 years now and they have two adorable sons, Calypso, 6 years old, and Atlantis, 2 years old. “I’m a very hands-on mom. Me and my husband, we work together in teaching our kids….it’s a teamwork!”, declares Sherry Lou. What I really like about Sherry Lou is that she’s the kind of person who were able to examine how she define success and accept that she can’t do everything, but she’s doing her very best to ensure everything is in order.

Sherry Lou is a professional make-up artist. The key to being able to balance her career and motherhood is having a great husband who equally shares parenting duties with her. Both the husband and the wife have should work hard to balance their careers and their family.

I’m really very excited because this is my first time to compete in an international pageant. I’m looking forward to meet all the other candidates, especially my fellow moms…my fellow empowered women“, Sherry Lou adds.

Sherry Lou Villasenor truly embodies natural beauty and awesome personality that will make her stand-out in the Mrs. Globe pageant. Well the only advice that I can give her is this: Don’t compete too much! Just have fun, make friends, share what you know and don’t starve yourself. Feel and be beautiful all the time!
