The competition is all set for the international Miss Global 2016 as the forty delegates were introduced to the members of the press on September 13 at the Grand Ballroom of Crowne Plaza Galeria Manila in Pasig City. What made this pageant edition extra special is because the Philippines is hosting it for the second time around for two consecutive years.

The same excitement is what the organization responsible for staging the event, most particularly the National Pageant Director and Chief Executive Officer of Miss Global Philippines, Ms. Pauline Sofia Laping, was anticipating. “We are very eager to welcome the candidates and extend to them our genuine Filipino hospitality,” she says. “We also look forward to another exciting competition, and we can hardly wait to see who will end up with the crown“, she added.
Last year, 50 candidates made their way to Manila to compete in a grand production that saw Australia’s Jessica Peart besting all candidates.
“This is going to be another tough competition. The candidates are getting more and more competitive each year,” declares Laping.
