The Binibining Pilipinas 2018 Queens meet some members of the press from prints and blogs in a pocket interview held at Pizza Hut in Gateway Mall, Araneta Center, Quezon City last April 11, 2018.
A huge crowd of over 10,000 high energy fans gave Binibining Pilipinas its biggest audience turnout in its long, illustrations history when it held this year’s much-awaited Grand Coronation Night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last March 18, 2018.
Dubbed as the Most Beautiful Night in the Philippines, the country’s premiere beauty pageant drew a massive audience in support of their favorite candidates that they hope would represent the country in international competitions. The excitement surrounding this batch of candidates was at its highest, and this led to the biggest number of ticket sales in the history of Bb. Pilipinas coronation to date.

With a bigger stage comprised of multiple stairs and landings, and dressed with LED monitors and lighted acrylic trimmings, it was one of the most beautiful women in the country. The Big Dome was filled with hordes of fans with lighted signs and letters spelling out their chosen candidates’ names; some even came with whistles and other paraphernalia to cheer their favorites on.
It was a night of frontrunner triumphs and interesting revelations and surprises when the panel of judges finally announced the new Queens.

“The Binibini fans are wonderful,” says Mrs. Stella Marquez Araneta, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. chairperson. “They give so much love to the ladies; their support really boosts the candidates’ confidence and sees them thru the trying periods in the competition. We will not able to keep doing this without them,”
We asked the queens to tell us about their advocacy —
For Miss Universe Philippines Catriona Gray, we asked her to tell more about her advocacy and she said that for 2 years she has been working with Love Yourself Organization, a non profit organization that educates and supports HIV awareness. The said organization is run by volunteers who have personally experienced HIV or who knows someone who has HIV. Aside from her advocacy about HIV she is also supporting indigenous tribes from people of the south to promote fashion, to bring fashion.
For Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2018 Michele Gumabao, we also asked her about her advocacy and she tells us that she is currently supporting Health and Fitness since she’s a sports enthusiasts but she doesn’t limit herself to other things. She also wants to be a voice for other sports that are not being put any much attention by the media. So, if these sports has already media attention they will get more sponsorships and will be able to compete internationally. Currently, she is also working with Habitat for Humanity and been talking to a lot organization both non-profit and government.

Last but not the least for our Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman, she said that she wants to improve the education in rural areas especially the transportation going to school and supplies. As she said, “I studied in Bohol before moving to Australia and naranasan ko maglakad ng more than 30mins just to get to school“.
