MANILA, Philippines – The month of August started on a sweet note for the kids of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) as Dairy Queen Philippines together with this year’s Binibining Pilipinas winners gave them a visit.
Aside from being one of the best known ice cream brands in the country, DQ Philippines, which has built a name for its signature Blizzard serves upside-down, also prioritizes its corporate social responsibility project called “Upside”, which aims less fortunate kids experience life’s upsides.
Miss Universe Philippines Catriona Gray, Bb Pilipinas International Ma. Ahtisa Manalo, Bb. Pilipinas Globe Michele Gumabao, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Jehza Huela, Bb. Pilipinas 1st RU Vickie Rushton, and Bb. Pilipinas 2nd RU Samantha Bernardo took a break from their busy schedules to spend a meaningful afternoon with 40 cancer and hematology patients, who could not help but smile for the treats they received and the balloon show they witnessed.
The kids were also treated to a tasts of DQ’s most delectable ice cream products and scrumptious Taco Bell meals.
The Bb. Pilipinas winners were also grateful for another charitable activity and looking forward for more to impart happiness one kid at a time.
