Mutya ng Pilipinas is celebrating its 50th year anniversary this year. With this significant milestone, 50 official candidates of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 were presented to the members of the press last September 3 at Ascott Hotel Makati City.
This year’s official candidates are composed from the following geographical areas: 10 from Metro Manila, 17 from Luzon, 8 from Visayas and Mindanao and 15 from overseas community.
Awarded as Darling of the Press is No. 48 Mary Justine Teng of Muntinlupa City. No. 23 Agatha Romero of Manila and No. 21 Nina Ancheta of Los Angeles, California were awarded as 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up, respectively.

There are four major crowns to be awarded:
Mutya ng Pilipinas – Miss Asia Pacific International 2018
Mutya ng Pilipinas – Miss Toursim International 2018
Mutya ng Pilipinas – Miss Global Beauty Queen 2018
Mutya ng Pilipinas – Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2018
Coronation night will be held on September 16 at Mall of Asia Arena.
