Not four but five crowns.  Arnold Vegafria revealed during the formal press presentation of Miss World Philippines 2018 pageant that there is a very strong possibility that they might add one more title for this year’s  pageant.

Aside from the Miss World Philippines crown, there are other three titles that are stake currently: Reina Hispanoamericana which seeks to promote Hispanic culture, Miss Multinational which promotes multinational cooperation and Miss Eco International which advocates environmental awareness and eco-tourism.

Vegafria is the current national Director of Mr.  & Ms. World Philippines Organization.

He also revealed that he is up for the challenge. He wants to continue the winning streak of last year’s winners. Three out of four queens won the international pageants they had competed. Teresita Senn Marquez as Reina Hispanoamerica, Thia Thomalla as Miss Eco International and Sophia Senoron as Miss Multinational. Reigning Miss World Philippines Laura Lehmann reached in the Top 40 of Miss World 2017 pageant.

“Aside from the looks and talent, they must also have the right attitude and good moral character, pleasing personality, intelligence and they should also qualify as the rightful ambassadors of the country. More importantly, they should never lose track of our primary objective,” Vegafria reveals.

“Miss World Philippines has always been more than just beauty. We encourage our future queens to be more responsible, civic minded and creative unique own advocacies no matter how humble. We also encourage our aspiring queens to look beyond the Miss World title and also be aware of the advocacies of the other titles that they are vying for,” Vegafria added.

He also promised to bring bigger and better production for this year’s MWP pageant, surpassing the glitz and glam of last year’s festivities.

The candidates will undergo a series of pre-pageant activities as follows: swimsuit competition in El Nido Palawan, Fitness Challenge at Victoria Sports Tower, BYS Fashion Show and Gala Night at Maxim’s Grand Ballroom of Resorts World Manila.

The coronation night will be held at MOA Arena on October 7.

Wearing two-piece swimsuits, here are the 40 official candidates  during the well-attended press presentation held last September 11 at the Vestibule Bar, Resorts World Manila.
