Mutya Pilipinas beauty pageant launched this year its latest acquisition of another international title in addition to their existing titles that will surely make the 51st edition of the pageant more exciting to watch out for. World Top Model Philippines will debut this year and will transform the national beauty pageant into a hybrid competition as it welcomes professional and aspiring models to be part of this year’s search. There will be 5 titles which will be at stake for this year namely Mutya Pilipinas Asia-Pacific International, Mutya Pilipinas Tourism International, Mutya Pilipinas Tourism Queen of the Year, Mutya Pilipinas Overseas Communities and World Top Model Philippines. They will also give 2 runners-up aside from the titles. The official launching was held last July 8, 2019 at the Garcia-Quirino function room of Ascott Makati, one of the supporters of Mutya Pilipinas pageant attended by selected members of tri-media. The newly-appointed President of Mutya Pilipinas by the name of Cory Quirino was there present and was so happy to announce the good news together with the Chairman of the Board Mr. Fred Yuson who told the members of the press that there will be more positive changes in the future as Mutya Pilipinas evolves. The winner of the World Top Model Philippines 2019 will represent the country in the finals of the World Top Model which will be happening in the city of Montecarlo, Kingdom of Manaco this coming December. Mutya Pilipinas will have the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP) as its partner who will handle the training of the winner of the World Top Model Philippines in preparation for the international modeling competition. PMAP was represented by Anna Siddeco, President, and Paulette Quinto. Also present at the event were the executives of Ascott Makati and Mr. Roberto De Venecia, former Board Member of Mutya Pilipinas. For 2019, the organizer is expecting around 40 official candidates including representatives from Filipino Overseas Communities. Mutya Pilipinas will culminate in a grand coronation night on August 18, 2019 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
