52 Candidates vie for the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines 2020
MISS Universe Philippines – Fifty two (52) young and beautiful aspirants made it to the top list of candidates for inaugural Miss Philippines 2020. The official candidates were presented to the members tri-media (blogs, newspapers, television) and all of them wore modern interpretations of Filipiniana attire – from pantsuits to dresses that showcases local garments – and sashes showing names of the cities they represent and walked the red carpet last February 14, Valentine’s Day at the Manila Ballroom of the historic Manila Hotel.
Present during the presentation were the officials of the standalone MUPh Organization led by the National Director and former beauty queen Shamcey Supsup Lee, Creative Director Jonas Gaffud and the President of Frontrow RS Francisco, major presenter of the pageant. They were introduced for the coveted title.
The candidates went through rigorous series of screening from the core members of the organization. They will be embarked in different activities from photoshoots, TV guestings, sponsor visits, charity gala among others. Their goal is to be the gold standard of national pageants around the world while being a flat form for the best of Filipinos creativity and championing socially-meaningful advocacies.
